My name is Jennifer Sando. I’m a freelance photographer based in Adelaide, South Australia. There are two things that I love about pursuing photography: being able to share my perception with others in a tangible form, and experiencing the reaction that people have when they connect with my images. I photograph a range of subjects — urban scenes, still life, weddings, architecture, landscapes, my dog Arky — to name a few. I prefer to be versatile; today I shot a rainbow running parallel to a tree, but tomorrow I may be clicking at fallen coffee beans from a kitchen bench top... Sometimes when I capture the expressions of people, I feel like I've captured a window to their soul; it's a way to get intimate with humanity--a privilege for me. My interest in photography began when I wanted to illustrate my online journal. Most of the subjects from that time were of my home and garden. I experimented with different perceptions and compositions and found that I didn’t want to stop. It even took over my writing (which has always been my first love). It didn’t matter that my first camera was a digicam, a Pentax Optio 330rs to be precise, the rewards were still there for me, and it was that little Pentax that brought me to where I am now…
